Does anyone know.. organic shampoo....????

how to make organic shampoo, using like sum kind of fruits or oils, well plz include ingredients thnx very much :)Does anyone know.. organic shampoo....????
Look it up online..Does anyone know.. organic shampoo....????
Organic means grown without artificial pesticides or fertilizers.

Shampoo isn't grown, it's produced synthetically.
Dr. Bronner's Soap is probably what you are looking for.

It's what I use, for basically everything, including shampoo.

Organic shampoo's? Or is salon shampoo better?

I bought Giovanni Organic shampoo and i love it / have you? (Guess it is a two part question lol)

But would really like to know which is better for the hair.. salon or the Organic

ThanksOrganic shampoo's? Or is salon shampoo better?
I love salon shampoos because I think they smell better and are better for your hair than regular shampoos. However, if you are comparing them to organic shampoos - go organic, all the way. I recently started switching all my health and beauty products to organic, all-natural, paraben and chemical free. The parabens and chemicals create things like the sudsing action and tingly sensation. But these chemicals seep into your skin and eventually your bloodstream and have been shown to have damaging effects on things like reproductive organs. Basically, if you look at the ingredients and you can't pronounce it, leave it on the shelf. Same goes with food.Organic shampoo's? Or is salon shampoo better?
never heard of it.

but it really depends on your hair type, the brand, and how you apply it. i think it's always good to buy organic, but i also think its important to care for your hair. i really like aveda and ojon products, they're both salon hair care lines and they work great! i tend to spend less on shampoo(i just want my hair to be cleaned) and more on conditioner.
i think organic but i use tea tree not giovanni but yea so i think it would be organic.hope i helped

Most organic shampoo?

I'm looking for a shampoo that has all natural ingredients without ANY nasty chemicals in it. Are there any shampoos like these I can find at the drugstore? Most organic shampoo?
theres J.A.S.O.N

that works really well

also theres the kiss my face brand

if you live in ny go to wegmansMost organic shampoo?
Target carries all natural lines such as JASON, Giovanni, SamyPure(which is not all natural, just lacks sulfer), and a few others. Trade Secret carries higher end all natural line such as Abba and Soma. If you don't want all natural and just want sulfate and paraben free, check out some higher end color treatment shampoos, since the purpose is to preserve color, they leave out sulfate.

It takes a couple seconds to check out the ingredients of the bottle, whatever you choose however, make sure you look at the entire list.
I don't know if you can find it at a drugstore, I but it at whole foods or online. Aubrey Organics has nothing but organic natural products.
You can find some at any drug store, but to be honest with you, they really dont cleanse your hair that well.
Lush - but I don't know if you can get that in America.
olive oil shampoo
NO, i dont think so but they might have an aisle with it, Try Whole Foods, Sprouts,Central Market, and Green Days

    Organic Shampoo for Blondes?

I haven't had a lot of luck with the shampoos they advertise on tv or sell in salons. They never do for my hair what they say they will, and I don't like all of the chemicals in them. What ingredients could I use that would benefit my hair? Hiya im looking for a shampoo and conditioner that is not tested on animals. It needs to be available in england, anything else is not an option. I can't order from the internet or anything.

right the one company u need to avoid is proctor and gamble... type it into google u'll be amazed at what crap bout them you will find.

    AVOID

    pantene

    herbal essences

    aussie

all these shampoos are owned/produced by P%26amp;G and P%26amp;G is one of the biggest companies behind animal testing and they own whole host of house brands - DAZ, Ariel, Fairy liquid, Lenor, Max Factor, Olay, Flash, gillette, braun, always, huggies nappies, IAMS/ENKUBA pet foods....

(as u can tell am very anti animal testing and i do everything i can to avoid P%26amp;G as a company

    now... decent shampoo....

paul mitchell's salon range - NOT animal tested and it is one of the best product ranges out there and most salons will sell paul mitchell.

smells great and it works a treat....

it is pricey, however, best thing to do is to buy a litre bottle of the shampoo u like, it works out cheaper i.e. 拢15 every 4 months vs. 拢7 or 拢8 every 2 weeks.... a litre bottle of shampoo will last around 4-5 months (i've had mine last me 5 months and i gotta 26 inch hair extensions in my hair).

Also, the range by AVEDA - its organic and not animal tested - however i haven't had any experience using their products.Organic shampoo's and conditioners?
    Boots Botanicals work well.

I've been using the Volume shampoo and a Conditioner for Brunette hair, and they have made my hair really soft and shiny, my natural brown hair looks very luminous and rich in colour, they smell kind of nice too.

(The Brunette one is quite messy though, looks like black paste, but it washes out easily).

Organic doesn't mean it's not tested on animals.

    Organic shampoo VS regular shampoo?

Well,I was curious to know what dose regular shampoo with the chemicals n'stuff do to your hair? and is organic way better?Organic shampoo VS regular shampoo?
I don't think it's as much about what it does to your hair as what it does to your health when it is aborbed into your body. Many contain ingredents that are irritants. Some ingredients can be know to cause cancer in lab test. Be careful when you look for organic products. There is little regulation so know what ingredients you don't want.Organic shampoo VS regular shampoo?
This will give you the information you are looking for. Have a great day!

    http://www.peaceful-organic-planet.com/o鈥?/a>
It doesn't do anything to your hair. Your hair is dead. Organic shampoos contain plenty of chemicals too. Its just that you pay a premium for it.

  • Using organic shampoo's with relaxed hair!?!?!?!?

i am black and i have relaxed hair i usually use nexus shampoo and any random conditioner on my hair ever week or week and a half i wanted to change to an organic natural shampoo and conditioner and still contenue my relaxer would this call my hair to break off or fall out? and if so why?Using organic shampoo's with relaxed hair!?!?!?!?
There are organic or mostly organic products out there that are great for relaxed/color treated hair. Make sure whatever product you want to purchase is labeled ';color safe.'; There are lots of organic products out there that are great for natural, non-treated hair that are not going to be good for the type of hair you have.

Products that contain natural astringents like tea tree are not advisable to use on a regular basis, wither as the astringent nature of them will strip the color.

Have a look at Eufora, Aveda, %26amp; Pureology.

Ive heard some shampoos are damaging so wanted to know if anyone has used organic shampoos what are they like and where can i get some?Organic shampoo/Conditioner?
Aveda and Avalon are both makes of organic shampoos.

don't be fooled by shampoos and products like herbal essences - its NOT organic or using natural ingredients - a lil research into the company and you'll find its owned by a company who also own pantene, aussie, head and shoulders who all use nasty chemicals in the hair and use animal testing to make the shampoo's. (just type in google P%26amp;G animal testing and alot of shocking stuff will come up - P%26amp;G own a whole host of well known brands - wella, fairy liquid, ariel washing powder, mr muscle polish, max factor uk or covergirl in us make up, olay, its ALL animal tested)

good quality shampoo will not damage hair, Paul mitchell is a well known salon brand - they don't test on animals and altho they are not organic products, they do use natural ingredients in their products and if your thinkin paul mitchell shampoo is expensive, beat thingt to do is, go into a salon which sells the shampoos, find out which would be best for your hair type - get small bottle, see how you get on with it and then if you like it, buy the 1 litre size, it'll last 5 months.Organic shampoo/Conditioner?
i think Herbal Essecences is biodegratable ( I assume you are reffing to this.) And maybe Pert Plus (though you'll need to lok at it's ingredients)
um....... stores like food-lion and wal-mart usually sell stuff like that you should try dove damage repair or garniea fruitese idk how to spell it but its in a green bottle or you could try sun-silk.
Avalon organics shampoo and conditioners work great for me.i don't have the build up,like I did with the other shampoos i used in the past. Most organic shampoos are expensive but Avalon is a reasonable price, around $8 a bottle.and the results are worth it.I also use Aveno products, which are also natural.

I have an oily scalp but dry wavy hair. looking for a organic shampoo. Can anyone recommend me one.?

Ok the reason you have an oily scalp and dry hair is cause you don't wash your scalp and wash your hair.

So you are supposed to wash your scalp with shampoo and when you wash the shampoo out the soap suds will clean your hair enough.

Then for conditioner only put it on your hair and not your scalp that should fix your problem.

    Organic Shampoo leaves hair oily

I try to live a very eco-friendly lifestyle and am switching to all certified organic products. However, I have tried several of the top organic shampoos and they leave my hair extremely oily (yes, I have washed out thoroughly). Any ideas???Organic Shampoo leaves hair oily
Well check the label for the oils in the product, some companies may think they absorb into the hair for shine and conditioning but some oils do not absorb that well or that fast. Organic Shampoo leaves hair oily
Unfortunately, the reason almost no one uses organic shampoo is because it does a terrible job. You get the same 'nutrients' washing your hair in apple juice, and about the same effect.

I never really got oily hair because after the shampoo I used organic conditioner, which actually made my hair harder to brush than using nothing, as well a matting it so bad I needed about half an hour after the shower to make it look as good as it did before the shower. (My hair is slightly longer than my ears and I wear it down and unstyled.)

My mother claims that non-organic shampoos and conditioners are carcinogenic, but it is only when I stopped using them that my hair became brittle and unmanageable.

The amount of shampoo and conditioner you put into the environment is so minimal it leaves less of an impact than driving your car to work. My advice: avoid that stuff like the plague.

try using nature garden shampoo and conditioner

SLS!! Which shampoos not to use? Is organic shampoo better?

NO organic shampoo is NOT better. I bought some really expensive organic crap before and it made my hair dry and coarse. Im warning you, do not fall for that trap, dont buy organic shampoo. Also, avoid anything Sunsilk.SLS!! Which shampoos not to use? Is organic shampoo better?

Most will make your hair feel like straw ,and only contain a percentage of organic ingredients in them. The preservative often lets them down, anything will prop front of its name is carcinogenic.

The only brand that I have found to work and not contain any badies, can be ordered online at the adress below.
i forgot what the shampoo and makeup are called but i heard that the makeup is REALLY good, i think you can get it from wallgreens, and the organic shampoo is also from wallgreens, I'm not too sure how good that works though

If you look closely, then you'll notice that most ';organic'; lines aren't truly organic, but only offer organic ingredients along with other un-natural and un-organic ingredients. Burt's Bee's is one of the many brands that aren't truly organic. If it doesn't matter to you if they are 100% organic products or not then you can try Giovanni, Yes to Carrots, jason organic, organix, Aubrey's, and many others. Many of these can be found in drug stores like Walgreens and some can be found in health foods stores.

To find 100% certified organic products then http://www.organicconsumer.org has a list of retailers that sell truly organic lines. Search for ';hair'; in their keyword search.

Finally someone understands the dangers or shampoo chemcials! I was reading earlier about how some of them are thought to cause cancer, but now I'll answer your question. Most grocery stores carry organic brands, but if you can't find it there try Walmart, Kmart, Target, or some place like that. I recommend the Organix brand, Burt's Bees, or Jason. Jason is my first preference, but that's just me. It's completely organic, not tested on animals, no chemicals, etc. Honestly, I've never tried Burts Bee's shampoo, but their other products work well for me. And Organix is okay, but not great. Hope I helped! :)Organic/gentle shampoo available at local stores?

On a recent visit to local Whole Foods store I couldn't resist a temptation to buy a ';healthy organic'; shampoo. It turned out to be a total crop that was barely bubbling. Is it even possible to find a healthy item like this that actually works as good as a ';normal'; shampoo? Thanks :)';Organic'; shampoo that actually works well?
What was the brand you used? Sudsing is not a sign that the shampoo is working, btw, so it doesn't have to ';bubble'; at all.

It depends on what you mean by ';work as good as normal shampoo.'; Organic shampoos are better and healthier than regular shampoos because of the ingredients. Organic does not include the drying ingredient (SLS) that most regular shampoos contain, so it won't dry out your hair. Regular shampoos contain very harsh ingredients that strips your hair of its color and natural oils, and organic shampoos do not contain harsh ingredients. Organic products are made from ingredients that weren't subject to things like pesticides or chemicals when they were harvested and processed. These things are what makes organic hair care products better than normal hair products, not how good is suds.

Never judge a shampoo on how well it suds, because the chemicals that are used to form those suds, as I've heard from a hair professional, are also chemicals that *can* strip the hair. But, just like every other hair product, some will work better for your hair than others, so you'll have to experiment with different brands. I use bioInfusion (walgreens brand) organic shampoo and conditioner, but I want something that's certified organic so I'm going to switch to Giovanni products (http://www.giovannicosmetics.com). Other organic brands you can try besides Giovanni, Yes to carrots, Aubreys, Jason Organic, Burts Bees, Organix and many, many others. Some organic lines can be found at Walgreens or try another brand at your local health foods store.

Become aquanted with the ingredients that are included in many of these hair products and learn which ones are good and bad for the hair, like avoid mineral oil, petroleum and lanonlin, and look for those with natural oils and with water near the top of the ingredients list.

Since I've switched over to using natural and organic products my hair has never felt better and has never been in better condition. I don't have to worry about shampoos drying out my hair, and many of the organic products are so light that they barely cause build-up.

I doubt if Cream of Nature is organic.';Organic'; shampoo that actually works well?
    Maybe this:

Can I use my 'for people' organic oatmeal wash on my dog, instead of dog shampoo?

He is a chihuahua, doesn't shed almost at all but has dandruff. I figured oatmeal would be good for that, but could I use mine, or is it necessary to get his own?Can I use my 'for people' organic oatmeal wash on my dog, instead of dog shampoo?
Yes you can. Most pet shampoos tend to be less alkaline in nature then our shampoo. Just asses for itchy or dry skin. A rehydrater or creme rinse will be nessesary to lower the PH after your ';human'; shampoo. Rehydrater should sit on coat for at least 3-5 minutes before cool rinse. Leave in conditioners can also be healpful and often provide SPF.

YOu may want to try Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo. This is an effective treatment for humans and canines. Get the one with Coal Tar and Sulfer. This is excellent for occasional use for treatment of seborrhea, dandruff, allergy, bacteria, fungus, and dermatitis of unknown origins.

Keep shampoo out of eyes and ears. Can I use my 'for people' organic oatmeal wash on my dog, instead of dog shampoo?
The best is that you get a dog shampoo that treats his dandruff problem as the dog might not be able to take the contents in human shampoo.

You can also get those pet medicated sprays to treat his dandruff problem. I got a medicated spray for my coming 10 months old Beagle as he has got flakes and it is working quite well and I can see that there is improvement.
It's better to just get an oatmeal shampoo especially formulated for dogs. Then use a creme rinse conditioner, let it stay for at least 3 minutes. And don't forget to rinse your dog's hair and skin very well. Sometimes, dandruff is caused by not rinsing properly or not rinsing very well.
Make sure you read the labels....find out whats in the shampoo and do some research.....just because something is organic doesnt mean that it wont cause an alergic reaction.....maybe do a test patch on you dog first....I think that would be better than doing a complete wash with something that could potentially harmful to you dog.....I know my dog has very sensitive skin (as many staffordshire bull terriers do) and its taken me a lot of test patches and research to find what shampoo I cant use on him :)
I wouldn't use human shampoo, why don't you call your vet, tell them the problem and ask if they sell a suitable shampoo, if they say no, then you could ask them to recommend something. You don't actually have to make an appointment to see them.
i use people shampoo all the time on my dogs. they smell like oranges. lol

  • What are some really good scented organic shampoos and conditioners?

That are generally cheap like under 5 dollars a bottle and can be found at like walgreens or pic n save or walmart????What are some really good scented organic shampoos and conditioners?
Theres a brand at walmart called ';organix'; there are like three different smells and they all smell REALLY good.

You can get a rebate on one so if you buy two it ends up being about 3 dollars each. But i dont know if the rebate is still going on. It will have a tag on the bottle if it is.

Although this stuff didnt work very well on my hair. At least the mint one. It left my hair staticy haha. What are some really good scented organic shampoos and conditioners?
Unfortunately it will be difficult to find real organic products is the stores you mentioned. Often they will name there brand something that sounds organic but isn't really at all. So you you have to look for organic certified products.

    Cheers Sonya
welll... for under 5 dollars i dont think you can find anything, but if you go to your local fair, or try PCC they might have something :)

    No.

You get acne from many reasons. Oil, stress, allergy, touching your face with dirty hands, to name a few. Will organic shampoo help acne?
no face wash will. get proactiv and the body wash they make. itll get rid of it on your back and chest and shoulders...the face wash system works amazingly well. just dont skip a wash or else youll break out
50/50% chance. Perfumes can lead to skin problems. Get a shampoo/conditioner without mineral oil.

I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too

    http://www.beautifulhamesha.com/Acne.php

I have weird hair- can get very oily/itchy (like after using organic shampoo), & other times quite dry. TIPS?

If I use stuff for thinning hair (I am starting to get a receding hairline/temple-area hair loss I think from taking accutane) or non-frizz shampoos, or organic/natural stuff, etc. it gets oily in less than a day.

Contrarily, my ends always get very dry and knotted with regular conditioners- which means I need to buy very thick creamy conditioner for my ends (I dont use this on my scalp).

I dunno whats going on...but if you have any clues on what may be wrong or what I may be doing wrong, or have had similar experiences and found a solution, please share.

thanks a mill!I have weird hair- can get very oily/itchy (like after using organic shampoo), %26amp; other times quite dry. TIPS?
I use organic shampoos and conditioners too. It depends on what's in it. If you feel that your hair is too oily, and it's itchy, look for products that contain Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil is really good for irritated and itchy scalp. Also, Tea Tree has the tendency of drying oily scalps. Give it a try, but continue to shop around.I have weird hair- can get very oily/itchy (like after using organic shampoo), %26amp; other times quite dry. TIPS?
I too have oily hair. Here's the deal:use baby shampoo, don't massage it into your scalp this agitates the hair folicle producing more oily buildup.Don't condition ever.

Try a natural food store. They have lines of products for people with skin conditons, inclluding shampoos. But they are VERY Expensive.
Arbonne International has great products for folks with skin issues like eczema. You could also try their ABC Baby Care products. I know it sounds strange, but a lot of people with eczema or psoriasis use Arbonne's baby care products because they are so gentle on sensitive skin. It's a thought - and there is a baby shampoo.
my doctor has directed me to use a moisturizing shampoo, no specific brand, and cool water.
I know of people with eczema and psoraisis who shampoo with Apple cider vinager. May not leave your smelling the best, yet helps to heal the scalp.

Confused !!!!...which one is the best organic shampoo and conditioner for hair? are they really organic?

having too much problem with my hair for the last 3 months. dull look, hair fall, dryness bla bla bla...is there any one stop process for all these problems?Confused !!!!...which one is the best organic shampoo and conditioner for hair? are they really organic?
First of all you have to figure out why your hair has become this way. Like, do you have any chemicals in your hair? It's important to use moisturizing hair products if you have dry hair. As far as organic products are concerned, I'm skeptical. Products that are advertised as organic must have some kind of preservative(s) in them or they would spoil. Preservatives mean that there is some kind of chemical in it.Confused !!!!...which one is the best organic shampoo and conditioner for hair? are they really organic?
The best organic shampoo and conditioner is by Aubrey Organics. I LOVE their GPB conditioner (protein) and Honey Suckle Rose conditioner (moisture). I like Abba's pure moisture shampoo. It has peppermint in it, stimulating the scalp and circulation, promoting healthy growing hair. Other good organic brands are Avalon Organics, Nature's Gate, and Jason's Naturals.

Should we use natural organic products 4 EVERYTHING? skin, cleaning, etc. Organic shampoo leaves my hair oily!

Regular shampoo- I go at least a full day w/regular ';fresh'; hair, shall we say.

I used organic shampoo late last night and this morning I had such a horrible itchiness in my hair that I had to shower instantly!

    What is going on?

And do all products have so many toxins and chemicals that we should evolve completely into an all-out organic revolution?

Thanks.Should we use natural organic products 4 EVERYTHING? skin, cleaning, etc. Organic shampoo leaves my hair oily!
Hi, there. Using organic products is definitely better for you. But ... a lot of shampoos marked ';organic'; or ';all-natural'; actually contain many of the same toxic chemicals that off-the-shelf products do. Be sure to avoid any product containing Sodium Lauryl or Laureth Sulfoacetate. Those products are known carcinogens that are absorbed by the body and which remain in one's system for over 10 years. As they accumulate, they have the capacity to become mutagenic and affect one's DNA.

Your itchy scalp the next day is probably a good indicator that you have a sensitivity/allergy to the product you tried. Try to find one that is as pure and simple as possible. A true Castille liquid soap should be good for your hair. Castille meaning that it's made out of Olive Oil and no other oils. If you can find a truly natural product that doesn't cause itching but does leave your hair a bit oily, try adding a few drops of tea tree oil to the bottle. You can also thin the shampoo with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Those aren't great remedies for the problem, but they will work.

As for the oiliness, I've had the same experience. One thing that might help is to rinse your hair in organic apple cider vinegar immediately after you shampoo. Use the cider as a rinse and then rinse with warm--not hot--water.

If you have access to any soapmakers in your area, I strongly recommend trying one of their shampoo bars or liquid soaps. I own an organic body care company, but you're best bet is to find someone local to you.

I feel your pain. Hang in there and keep searching. There are excellent products available!!

My local health food store where I buy Burt's Bees gave me a sample of the shampoo and I couldn't take the smell. It's really expensive as well. I am all for Burt's Bees products but my budget will only allow me to have a few of his items. I personally like the soap bark facial cleanser and the herbal blemish stick because it's more important to me what touches my actual living skin, hair is just dead.
i have! i love burts bees (and aveda) products... aveda is more expensive, but i think it's much more useful and wonderful... both are really great, though. i think organic skin hair products is the way to go!! protects the environment and animals too ;-)

Is organic shampoo the same as biodegradable shampoo?

if not, whre can i find some biodegradble shampoo?

and soap if there is someIs organic shampoo the same as biodegradable shampoo?
They mean different things but can be the same. Try going to a store like Whole Foods, Wild Oats (which was just purchased by Whole Foods), New Seasons or other natural stores like that. Or if you get industrious, make your own so you know exactly what goes into it. Just google homemade biodegradable soap and there are tons of 'recipes' online depending on your needs and abilities. I'd include some but there are just too many out there. Sadly I've never tried any but homemade dog shampoo which included glycerine. Is organic shampoo the same as biodegradable shampoo?
If you are going somewhere that requires the use biodegradables, I would suggest you purchase a bar of lye soap and use that both for washing your body and your hair. It will clean you just as well and regular shampoo without all of the build up you get from the additives in commercial products.

It will also take less time to pack and will easily get through airport security. And the best part is that it won't spill all over your clothes if they get too rough with your luggage.

If you need a conditioner after washing your hair, use thinned down mayonnaise, an egg wash, or vinegar. Either one will work wonderfully and are fully biodegradable.
    Not always

Organic means it was made with organic material coming FROM nature

Bio degradeble means it can GO BACK into nature with out contamination.

sorry this answer was about the two words not about shampoo as such.

for example we have plastic bottles that weaken when touched by sunlight and this breaks down very quickly ,and so not cause much contamination

This is is classified as bio degradable ,but there is plastic involved which is NOT organic.

On the other hand there are waxed milk cartons which do not break down very easily although could be called organic but NOT bio degradable

A shampoo ,can be organic but chemicals may have been added

so in theory is not 100% Organic ,or 100% bio degradable and with huge amounts will contaminate .

check the part about- Agro chemicals ,and pharmacological`s --a few articles down http://byderule.multiply.com/journal/ite鈥?/a>

There are also chemical free organic shampoos,

which may not foam as well,or keep as long

with shampoos on a field trip we are nit picking here .these are insignificant amounts compared to the whole .

I have grown beautiful tomatoes ,In AFRICA,consistently for a few years ,on the drain from my bath tub ,where the woman washed my clothes with normal detergent .

How ever in Mexico thousands of women do the washing with cheap detergent and they also use a lot of bleach,In the local rivers ,

which are very low because of too much gets pumped out for irrigation, along the line ,and the agro chemicals that got washed in by the rains from the deforested mountain slopes adds to contamination from ,garbage dumped along the edges of the river .

And yes these rivers are in deep trouble

so are the animals that drink there ,some of their bodies can be seen lying on the edges of the water ,as well as many dead fish

and people have skin ,eye and stomach complaints because of it

But don`t lay awake over using either bio degradable or organic shampoo on your field trip, you aint gonna kill anything

i was talking on principal, and you are on the right road

BioNeem has soap and insect repellent

i read reviews about a horse product called Mega-Tek that promotes healthy hair in humans also! %26amp;%26amp; from the reviews its amazing! just make sure u keep ur hair moisturized because since it grows ur hair extremely fast it makes u shed more then normal, but i would presume its okay because of the rate it grows ur hair at! it's like 2X's as fast as normal..

    { they have shampoo %26amp;%26amp; conditioner also }

here's where u can get it for the cheapest! http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp鈥?/a>

i havent starting using it yet, but i believe in the reviews because everyone saw results whether they shed alot or not!

    {{ if u dont like the thought of that...im not sure of ur race, but for Caucasians i hear garnier Fructis is amazing...%26amp;%26amp; even for blacks, %26amp;%26amp; for blacks i loveeee Organic Root Stimulator line ALL of it is amazing! :) }}

Good ORGANIC shampoo, conditioner, and a body wash?

I decided i want to start using all organic pruducts. So what are some good ones i can find in stores like walgreens/cvs? or even something like the body shop, I just dont wanna have to order offline to get them. So if you use any nice ones just let me know!! :)Good ORGANIC shampoo, conditioner, and a body wash?
There is one you can find in CVS it's called olive oil creamy aloe shampoo and condition and you will see on the top ';organic'; and ';root stimulator';. Idk the name of the brand but it has its own big section so you'll find it. The bottle is all green and I think in that section you might find some body wash.

The doctor will usually give you aprescription for a medicated shampoo. However, I use a shampoo called T-gel. Ever since using this my dermatitis has disappeared.

I was a severe case at one point, with heavy scabing, weeping and bleeding. I would loose a lot of hair. After changing to a brand a total stranger recommended to me in the shop, my hair has changed, its more healther and not dry.

Does anyone know the best all natural or organic dandruff shampoo?

I heard olive oil works but I'm not sureDoes anyone know the best all natural or organic dandruff shampoo?
tea tree oil shampoo works really good.Does anyone know the best all natural or organic dandruff shampoo?
I haven't heard about the olive oil, but Pure %26amp; Basic has an excellent shampoo/conditioner combo set that works excellent for dandruff. They have natural ingredients, etc, but I don't remember if it's certified USDA organic. the JASON brand had a dandruff shampoo and tincture that my brothers have used and swear by, but I think they were just natural formulas as well, not USDA certified organic.
Try Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree line...it has peppermint and eucalyptis in it That will heal the dryness on your scalp. It is very concentrated and if used 3 times a week wont dry out the rest of your hair.

    Yes...I use Giovanni organic shampoos!

    They work great!

I really recommend Giovanni shampoos and conditioners...He even has face wash and a bunch of other stuff.GiOVANNiDoes organic shampoo prevent hair falling?
No it doesn'r prevent hair from falling out. I have tried numerous shampoos and conditioners, and my hair is still falling out. Most of the organic ones are really not organic if you read the labels, this is what I have found out for myself!
    ya
If you mean hair fall out I am sure any shampoo without sodium lauryl sulfate aluminum sulfate aluminum laurly sulfate etc etc. the list is so long on what causes hair to fall out and thin.

I use organix its in walmart shampoo section. when I cant find that I use totaly organic shampoo bars. it leaves a residue on hair but you get used to it and will actually let your hair grow back in and be three times as thick as before. I took my hair brush hairs and saved it before and check after I used the shampoo bars and was amazed. the hair shaft was so thick and strong.
yea, but dont expect to have immediate results. ive been using giovanni organic shampoo for about 6 months. and i have noticed that my hair falls less and it looks shinier and healthier. so i say u should try it :]

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
    yes
    yes
falling hair is either from genetics, from medications, from poor diet, from age, etc. Every 7 years the body totally changes (new skin cells, hair), and of course hair falls out certain times of the year but is them replaced. At certain times of the year you can run your hands thru your scalp and feel like short hairs all over your head. So no, although any kind of shampoo will keep your hair clean no shampoo prevents hair from falling.
Organic is good, man made is bad
yes i beleive organic is better for your hair and scalp. only was every other day too, or less. that makes your hair happy and natural

As to doing it ';naturally'; at home I have no idea.

But I do know that there are places out there that make all natural shampoos - my mom was really into it for a while.

There's a brand called Avalon you can get at health food stores (I'd check there for any actually, most have quite a selection of natural beauty products) as well as cheaper lines such as Suave Natural which you can get at target.

I have personally never really liked natural shampoo. The chemicals in regular shampoo that clean your hair are absent in natural shampoo and as a result I got a lot of build-up on my hair and would have to do a chamomile tea clense on it once a week to keep it from looking greasy.

Organic Shampoo the source of my hair regrowth?

Hi:) I started losing my hair when I was about 23. I used regular store bought shampoos. My scalp was always red like it had been sun burnt. Even in the winter time it was red and appeared irritated though there wasn't any pain. Recently I switched to an all natural and organic shampoo made by ';Jason';. Now, my hair is coming back at an alarming rate! I have more hair than my father and a year ago he had more than I did!!! I am happy that its growing back! I haven't lost hardly any hair! even if I wear a hat, I see no hair in my hat when I remove it! There is no hair on my pillow when I wake up either! Could it have been the sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates? Or could it be an ingredient in the shampoo? I used the kind that has sea kelp in it. It makes my hair very soft and my scalp is soft too! It used to feel scaly and rough.Organic Shampoo the source of my hair regrowth?
you were probably allergic to all the chemicals in the shampoo. shampoos have a tendency to be very abrasive, thats why babies have their own lines. organic is always best for people with allergies, and probably everyone else if they can handle their natural beauty instead of altering themselves with shampoos designed to straighten, curl, defrizz or whatnot. if your good to your hair its good too you. i'm glad for your fortune!!! :D i like lavender myself, since i shower before bed and lavender is good for sleepytime soothing, children esp. :)

also, organic isn't just the cultivating, organic usually means that they don't use additives as that wouldn't be natural, and therefor not organic.Organic Shampoo the source of my hair regrowth?
I believe your hair has started to come back due to the Jason shampoo not having any sodium lauryl sulfate in it. I started using this brand a couple months ago and I was amazed at how much less hair I had coming out when I washed my hair! I love this brand; it's great! Report Abuse

it might have been the ingredients
Hi there! Are u sure you have just been usin the shampoo? are there any medications that possibly caused your hair to regrow or vitamins? pass me the link to your shampoo if you will,if you know of a website or what store did u buy it. I would like to try that product, I've been losing a lot of hair as well and my scalp is always scaly and rough like u mentioned, I'm very glad you found that amazing product, always be sure to eat healthy and drink plenty of liquids ok? take care :-)
Maybe the product was pH balanced and gentle. I doubt that the fact your shampoo is organic caused the regrowth, since organic is more to do with the cultivaton of the ingredients.

If you were to eat organic shampoo would it have calories?

Of course it doesn't have calories! It's the logical way to go about things. Who needs food?!If you were to eat organic shampoo would it have calories?
    Technically, yes.

But remember, just because it's 'organic' doesn't mean it's edible.

There are plenty of organic things out there that could kill you if eaten, or at the very least make you quite ill.

But hey, if' you're bored and have nothing to do....chow down!If you were to eat organic shampoo would it have calories?
Why the hell would you eat shampoo?

    Because it's organic doesn't mean it's edible.

Also, in your profile, you've asked multiple questions like this:

Walk in to your garden and pick some leaves of the shoe flower plant make it into a paste and apply to your hair when you have a bath. Very simple and no expense too.

Organic shampoo/conditioner for natural dirty blonde?

I want a shampoo/conditioner that's oraganic for natural blondes, maybe something that may have Chamomile. I don't want a dramatic difference though. I also am looking for one that can be sold in stores like Target. Thanks.Organic shampoo/conditioner for natural dirty blonde?
Hmm, I have an answer! If you have a local health food store, they are loaded with organic goods.

From organic food to organic soap and skin products.

They are more than likely to have the scent of chamomile or lavender. But I do not understand about the whole dramatic difference thing, do you want color enhancing shampoo/conditioner? If so, it is also very likely the health store has it.Organic shampoo/conditioner for natural dirty blonde?
There is really very little true organic products on the market if you look at all the ingriedients on the bottle and the cheaper health food store products will turn your hair to straw.

I only found one product that is certified to food grade standards and works. It is on the expensive side but like any thing you get what you pay for.

    dr.haushka.com also has great ones
I love Burt's Bees Super Shiny shampoo and conditioner. Although the shampoo is a bit harder to lather (considering that it does not contain sodium laureth sulfate or other harsh detergents), it works wonderfully. It really does do what the product claims-- it makes my hair sooo shiny. It also smells good- very citrusy. The conditioner is not very hydrating (its thinner than other conditioners) but it detangles well and does a decent job in moisturizing my hair.

I also think that Dessert Essence is pretty good too.

The best advice is to use a baby shampoo. Try johnson and Johnson's. This is gentle enough to be used more often , without drying out your hair. Skip conditioner all together now and then as these can build up on your hair and scalp causing unnecessary oil build up. If you must use conditioner, use the leave in spray types. These are less concentrated, thus less oil buildup. Hope this helps good luck

If you have fine or frizzy hair, make friends with Cynthia. This shampoo's special recipe includes organic Irish stout and lemons. As a bonus, your hair will smell delicious all day, but please refrain from drinking your shampoo if you shower at night.

I am using a detox all natural/organic shampoo, and you are not supposed ot use condition, but my hair is dry?

What can I use as conditioner that will not ';gunk up'; my hair (as I am trying to detox it RIGHT NOW) but it is kind of statick-electricity b/c we just turned on the heat in our house and it's kinda dry. What should I do?I am using a detox all natural/organic shampoo, and you are not supposed ot use condition, but my hair is dry?
Don't use mayonnaise. Go to the store and buy a bottle of plain olive oil. Wash your hair and rinse it, then pour/comb olive oil into it and spread it to the ends, until it's 'almost dripping.' Wrap your hair in a large towel and sit in the warmest spot you can for an hour (read or do needlework or watch TV), then go unwrap your hair. It should feel 'almost dry.' Wash again, and then let it dry naturally. Don't wash your hair every day, but only when you can 'feel the dirt/grease. You can use this 'olive oil' treatment once a week for up to a month, then once a month for sleek, supple hair that isn't dry, and you should have little to no 'static' in your hair at all. I got this treatment from my hairdresser, and at 58 (he's been my hairdresser since I was 55) my hair looks better than it ever has before. I am using a detox all natural/organic shampoo, and you are not supposed ot use condition, but my hair is dry?
Use a shampoo and conditioner that moustiries and nourishes your scalp %26amp; hair. I would maybe say use head %26amp; shoulders as well as that is for dandruff etc and is meant to moustourise etc to stop it so maybe try that as it gives a great shine also! Or even go to the chemist and ask the pharmacist which shampoo she reccomends for your problem. Hope this helps %26amp; good luck with your hair (:
well, just like every person is different, the hair is different, thats why there's no universal shampoo.

although many people can advice you about good shampoos, you have to try out some to get the best result that only YOU will get.

    ;) luck

Have you tried ABBA products? They are all-natural/organic and available at ULTA. Being natural, they are also sulfate-free. Since you want something moisturizing or reparative, I would recommend their Pure Moisture shampoo which is designed solely for hydrating and repairing hair. I would also recommend the accompanying conditioner and their Pure Recovery conditioner as well. Good luck!!

  • Does anyone know a good natural and/or organic shampoo and conditioner?

most of the ones i've tried leave my hair feeling gross and dirty. then i want to take a shower again. thanks for your help.Does anyone know a good natural and/or organic shampoo and conditioner?
I'm not sure if you have already tried this brand of products, but Aubrey Organics has a great line of natural beauty products! All natural and they work good too. I especially like their line of lotions and sunscreens. Hope this helps :DDoes anyone know a good natural and/or organic shampoo and conditioner?
    biosilk works nicely on hair
I have to agree with the Aburey Organics hair care line. I have used so many due to my allergies and it is the best one I have come across. I would recommend staying away from Burt's Bees it doesn't work well and the conditioner left my hair tangled. Hope this helps
Try Miessence certified organic shampoo and conditioner. You can probably find it in a salon near you depending on where you live or in a salon shampoo store. You could buy it from Ebay as well or from their own website

My dog has really bad dandruff...is there a good organic shampoo out there?

His skin is really sensitive and nothing I try has seemed to work. We live in NC and his owners before us used to keep him outside. I bathe him once every week...is this too much?My dog has really bad dandruff...is there a good organic shampoo out there?
It sounds like, he needs a walking from the man in his house. that might do the trick. My dog has really bad dandruff...is there a good organic shampoo out there?
What is the problem about going to see the vet today. He has medicated sprays for this. One bath a month... Do not use the same soap. I have never had problem going to Wlmart and getting Suave --strawberry -- for 99 cents... It has a low PH level...If I use anthiing on me other than Suave---danderuff and itch.... Cheapest stuff in the store...

If you are not going to see the vet then get Bactine spray--better get more than one can...The pet store has stuff... If your going to let the dog suffer for three weeks give the dog to someone else.....
You shoudn't bathe him that often since that can cause his skin to dry out even more because the natural oils in the coat get washed out.

To stop him from itching you can buy something called Relief Spray. There are different kinds but I have found that the ones that are based on oats are the most effective.

This is the one my vet recomended

Then I would deffinatly take him to the vet. It could be mange or any other subspeces (sp?) of mange or even hot spots.

Then I would give him a salmon oil supplement. The fatty acids will help the dandruff.
It might be a good idea to take him to the vet....it may not be dandruff. Dogs sometimes get ';mange';, skin red and flaking and they itch constantly...Best to double-check and make sure and not take any chances with your pet.
I wash my Yorkie once every week use Buddy Wash. It is organic.

    Ingredients:

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

Coconut Shampoo Base, Aloe Vera Gel, Essence Of Lavender, Essence Of Mint, Chamomile Extract, Sage Extract, Nettle Extract, Rosemary Extract, Wheat Protein Extract (natural deodorizing agent), Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin C
My rottie mix has the same problem. Sometimes bathing once a wk can be a problem, since dogs have natural oils that protect their skin (much like humans) and sometimes stripping those oils away too frequently can cause irritation, making the problem worse.

As far as shampoo, I use a banana oatmeal dog shampoo on Bosco, sometimes once a wk, sometimes every other wk, depending on how his skin is. It works pretty good, better than anything else I've tried, and he scratches and flakes a lot less than before. Good luck.
don't bathe him. If you're bathing that frequently then you're washing away his natural body oils, thus causing very dry skin. It willl only get worse if you continue baths that often. I highly recommend a food that is high in omega 3 %26amp; 6 and fish oil. If you want to stay on your current food you can purchase fish oil to add to his food, it'll help with skin and coat
you should bathe him once every 2-3 Weeks so his skin wont dry out...you can try shampoos with tea tree oil or oatmeal! Or ask your vet they have some really good shampoos might not smell great but it will work! I use oatmeal for my dog and it works pretty good but you have to keep in mind every dog is different and wont react the same to everything! hope this helps good luck!
Yes, once a week is too much. It depletes the skin and coat of natural oils needed to stay moisturized. Only bathe no more than once a month. I like Buddy Wash. It's organic and uses natural oils. The lavender and mint works good and also repells fleas. A good oatmeal shampoo would be great too.
Don't know if this will help you but I give my dogs olive or rape seed oil on their breakfast and I almost never bath them, only if they roll in something stinky. Their coats and skin are in fab condition. If I do need to bath them I do it outside with the hose pipe and use fairy washing up liquid
Perhaps you should shave him for a while and put lotion for sensitive skin on him.
Try head and shoulders, you can also try main and tail horse shampoo. If all else fails go to your nearest health food store, and ask them. They usually carrier things like that if it's a grocery type store.
My first question is - what are you feeding your dog?

One of our dogs is severely allergic to wheat and/or wheat gluten. Many dogs are allergic to corn and or wheat. The symptoms our dog exhibited were just like you are mentioning. It was almost like he was molting. A LOT of dandruff, it was almost like his skin was rotting off, he stunk, he had red itchy skin and none of this would be ';cured'; with a bath. In fact, one say after a bath he was in the same predictament. Lots of dandruff and lots of itching - it was like he had fleas.

Once we changed food - a food that contained neither wheat/wheat gluten or corn his symptoms cleared right up and he is ';normal';. I would check your food. That is an easy fix - elminate the allergen and the skin clears right up.

We use Tomlyn's milk bath shampoo (available at PetCo). It's gentle, has no dyes in it (which some dogs with sensative skin can have problems with) and doesn't overly suds up. If you don't remove/rinse all the suds after bathing, you can end up with the same skin issues.
Once a week is too much, I started this when I first had a pup but was recommended to give him a bath once every 2-3 weeks at most. You could try shampoos and conditioners with oatmeal. The vet could also prescribe some shampoos as my vet did for me. Good luck with your pet.

edit: for his itching now you could try to get some sprays with cortisol in it to stop itching, try some pet stores I'm sure they carry some type of product for this
Well, if his skin is red, then he could have some sort of flea/mange irritation that you would want to get checked out.

If that is not the problem, then first, stop bathing him every week. That is not good! Every time you shampoo him, he loses the nutrients in his fur which he needs. Bathe him every three weeks. If you are worried about him smelling, get some sort of a scent spray.

Second, the reason his skin is in poor condition is most likely his diet. I hope you are not feeding him any generic brand of food like Pedigree, Iams, etc. If you are, please research and get him a good premium dog food (Innova, Canidae).

Next, give him a raw egg in his food like once or twice a week, that will fix his coat. Also, make sure he gets some sor of vitamins daily, and add either Fish Oil or Flax Seed Oil to his diet.

    This will fix everything!
    Groomax Allergin Reducing Shampoo

Works great! you can get it at petsmart for $6.99 a bottle.

Don't wash your dog every week! Your making his skin condition worse. He only need a bath once a month (twice at most ever)

My scottie flakes too and also gets red patchy dry spots on his skin since he was a baby (hes 2 now). He may just need Omega 3 tablets (get at petsmart too or you can get it cheeper at the supermarket, the human stuff is the same thing). Its basically fish oil. For some reason some dogs can't produce a natural oil to their skin so they need suppliments. This should help!
