Can you use YOUR organic shampoo and Conditioner to bathe your dog?

Okay well i have a black toy poodle who is 2 yrs old in human years and I have a organic shampoo and conditioner of mine that i would like to use on my dog for just today and I was wondering if it was okay to use it. It is coconut milk by the brand Organix. Hope this helps! Can you use YOUR organic shampoo and Conditioner to bathe your dog?
No.

As everyone else rightly affirms, cleaning products designed for humans indeed have the wrong pH for canines. You're asking for flaky and irritated skin if you insist on using it.

I've used Organix in the past - before I began using only natural and organic products - and I wouldn't use it again because it has 4 carcinogenic ingredients.

You're better off stopping by Petco/PetSmart and picking up a natural shampoo without the usual cancer-causing suspects, like sodium lauryl sulfate, cocamide MEA or TEA or DEA, disodium ANYTHING. I've seen that Halo has a holistic shampoo with real, natural ingredients - I'd try that.

Aside from the SLS, cocamide and disodium mentioned above, also steer clear of the following ingredients:

Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate

Ammonium Laureth Sulfate

Ammonium Xylene Sulfonate

TEA Lauryl Sulfate

Magnesium Sulfate

Sodium Thiosulfate

Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate

Alkyl Sodium Sulfate

Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate

TEA-Dodecylbenzene

Sodium C12-15 Alkyl Sulfate

Sodium Dodecyl Sulfonate

Phthalates

Propylene Glycol

Any artificial color, usually denoted with FD%26amp;C or D%26amp;C and numbers

Hope this helps you! : )Can you use YOUR organic shampoo and Conditioner to bathe your dog?
Organic products try and use only natural ingredients. Check the bottle and see if you recognize all the ingredients. If you do then you can probably use the shampoo on the dog without any worry. Dogs can be sensitive to chemicals, but often people are more sensitive. Do a small patch before gong all over the body to see if there is a reaction.
no.. you may dry out his skin, or even cause irritations.

The dog needs a conditioning DOG shampoo.

Human products are designed for the PH levels of a human

dogs products are designed for the PH levels of a dog.

What do you mean by that you would like to use it ';for just today';? You do know that dogs do NOT need bathed that often, right? Only when smelly or dirty. Your dog will be fine until you can get to the store for dog shampoo.
Here's a little known fact outside of dog show circles...and remember, we want our dogs to look their absolute best...we use PEOPLE PRODUCTS!

People who think human hair care products can't be used on dogs haven't been to a dog show. I spend more on human hair care products for my dogs than I ever would for myself!

Pantene is my favorite for my dogs, along with Mane and Tail (a horse product people use on themselves now!).

Amazing but true. If these products damaged the coats, we'd never be using them.

Remember, some dogs don't get washed at all (hand stripped terrier jackets) and some get washed every day while showing (big old newfies for one!). Know your dog, know your breed, and go from there!
I love that shampoo, but i wouldnt use it on my dog, Dog shampoo has moisturizers for dog, their hair and skin is different from ours
No the ph is different in dogs and humans. Use dog shampoo for your pet.
I wouldn't do it. Its the wrong pH. It could dry out her skin.
