Organic means grown without artificial pesticides or fertilizers.
Shampoo isn't grown, it's produced synthetically.
Dr. Bronner's Soap is probably what you are looking for.
It's what I use, for basically everything, including shampoo.

Organic shampoo's? Or is salon shampoo better?
I bought Giovanni Organic shampoo and i love it / have you? (Guess it is a two part question lol)
But would really like to know which is better for the hair.. salon or the Organic

I love salon shampoos because I think they smell better and are better for your hair than regular shampoos. However, if you are comparing them to organic shampoos - go organic, all the way. I recently started switching all my health and beauty products to organic, all-natural, paraben and chemical free. The parabens and chemicals create things like the sudsing action and tingly sensation. But these chemicals seep into your skin and eventually your bloodstream and have been shown to have damaging effects on things like reproductive organs. Basically, if you look at the ingredients and you can't pronounce it, leave it on the shelf. Same goes with food.Organic shampoo's? Or is salon shampoo better?

but it really depends on your hair type, the brand, and how you apply it. i think it's always good to buy organic, but i also think its important to care for your hair. i really like aveda and ojon products, they're both salon hair care lines and they work great! i tend to spend less on shampoo(i just want my hair to be cleaned) and more on conditioner.

Trade Secret carries higher end all natural line such as Abba and Soma. If you don't want all natural and just want sulfate and paraben free, check out some higher end color treatment shampoos, since the purpose is to preserve color, they leave out sulfate.
It takes a couple seconds to check out the ingredients of the bottle, whatever you choose however, make sure you look at the entire list.

none of them are toxic, if they were they would not be on the shelves...
i use halos n' horns baby shampoo/conditioner. this company also make shower gels and bath stuff. its all organic and paraben and SLS free. or try Lush - everything they sell is organic and vegetarian.

Can I add Organic Vanilla Oil to my baby's shampoo?
